I just attended a Sherwood Oaks College event. That experience was worth more than ALL of the books I’ve read on screenwriting, COMBINED! No where else would I have ever had the opportunity to sit down with so many movie producers (many big budget producers) and learn from their perspective and what kind of material they are looking for. Sherwood Oaks teaches students how to break into this fascinating business. Thank you! |

A typical day of a Sherwood Oaks class was leaving a meeting with JJ Abrams AND Brett Ratner because we had to meet with the president of Imagine Television. I learned that the Director got his guest speakers by tirelessly attending hundreds of Hollywood events to solicit the actors, directors, writers, producers, editors, executives, agents, managers, and other professionals to come and teach classes at the school. Gary believes with all his heart that students can only learn the truth about what it takes to succeed in the business from the people who have actually achieved the success. He works almost literally around the clock to create his unique school without walls to help his students, so they might find their own unique paths to success. Read more |
